Abstract: The present research emphasizes the importance of the fieldwork in the teaching of&#xD;
Geography. As an instrument of action, a practical class of protection and&#xD;
preservation of springs was developed. The spatial cut of the research was limited to&#xD;
the community of Passo Liso where the subjects were the students of the Joany&#xD;
Guilherme de Lima State School, in the municipality of Laranjeiras do Sul, Paraná&#xD;
state. The central theme of the field work was the quality of the water consumed by&#xD;
the inhabitants of the rural areas, so before and after the practice of protection of the&#xD;
source, water was collected for analysis by a professional of the Municipal Health&#xD;
and Surveillance Department Sanitary School of Laranjeiras do Sul. Since Field&#xD;
Education prioritizes the study of the reality of the subjects of the field, their&#xD;
specificities and potentialities, without neglecting the compulsory school contents,&#xD;
starting from this presupposition, it was decided to develop the field work related to&#xD;
the daily life of the students of the school in analysis, with the purpose of stimulating&#xD;
the critical eye of reality. For that, the fieldwork contributed, because it allowed the&#xD;
opportunity to see and discuss environmental themes from the reality of the students,&#xD;
starting from the recovery of the source and arriving at larger issues such as&#xD;
environment and environmental preservation.

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the importance of agroecology to promote regional&#xD;
development in peasant farming areas based on the case of Settlements 19 October and&#xD;
Free Land - Nova Laranjeiras, Paraná. In recent years the inclusion of agro-ecological&#xD;
practices is a reality more and more present in the Territory Cantuquiriguaçu through a&#xD;
set of actions involving Rede Ecovida de Agroecologia, the Centro de Desenvolvimento&#xD;
Sustentável e Capacitação em Agroecologia (CEAGRO), Movimento dos Trabalhadores&#xD;
Sem Terra (MST) and the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul, campus Laranjeiras do&#xD;
Sul. The following methodological procedures were used to carry out the research: a&#xD;
bibliographical review to support the recent changes in Brazilian agrarian space and to&#xD;
understand the concepts of agroecology, peasant production and territory. And empirical&#xD;
research of qualitative character, with the accomplishment and analysis of interviews&#xD;
with the farmers who practice agroecology in the settlements “Terra Livre” and “19 de&#xD;
Outubro”. The interviews were based on a semistructured road map in order to know the&#xD;
profile of these families, the production unit and the agroecological practice. The&#xD;
analysis of the data showed the challenges faced by producers to achieve autonomy in&#xD;
the production of agroecological foodstuffs and in quantity capable of supplying the&#xD;
local markets and that, above all, are within the reach of all. However, even with some&#xD;
limitations, farmers are seeking to organize themselves in an attempt to consolidate the&#xD;
agroecological transition in the territory.

Abstract: The present monograph deals with a relevant topic: students who live in the countryside and&#xD;
study at schools in the city. It is intended, through a bibliographic review, to assess this&#xD;
problem and verify it in the light of data collected in field research carried out with the&#xD;
students of the final series of Elementary School of Érico Veríssimo State School, who reside&#xD;
in the field. The work makes considerations about the concepts of Education and Field&#xD;
Education. It gives a brief characterization of the School, locus of the research. Finally, it&#xD;
traces the profile of these students, as well as identifies some of their difficulties and points&#xD;
out possible facilitators that focus on their schooling.
