<title>Negritude, diáspora negra e pan-africanismo: o antagonismo denegado defensivo do universalismo filosófico tradicional</title>

<description>Title: Negritude, diáspora negra e pan-africanismo: o antagonismo denegado defensivo do universalismo filosófico tradicional
Author: Santos, Fabricio Ramos dos

Abstract: This dissertation investigates how the concepts of Negritude, Black Diaspora, and Pan-Africanism function as philosophical forms of resistance to colonial epistemicide and contribute to the construction of alternatives to Eurocentric universalism. Drawing on the works of Frantz Fanon, Achille Mbembe, Ivan Luiz Monteiro, Zilá Bernd, Petrônio Domingues, bell hooks, and Angela Davis, the study analyzes the ontological and epistemic implications of the coloniality of being, revealing how modern Western thought is grounded in the exclusion and dehumanization of Black and colonized peoples. The dissertation pays particular attention to the concept of Ubuntu, based on the works of Alexandre do Nascimento and Mogobe Ramose, who propose a relational ontology that challenges the individualistic notion of the modern subject. It demonstrates that African philosophical traditions not only contest the dominant philosophical canon but also offer alternative horizons of being, knowledge, and emancipation.

Author: Vieira, Heric Carvalho
First advisor: Neitzel, Odair
Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) as the principal technical-discursive operator within the biopolitical dispositif of contemporary mental health. The dispositif is understood as a heterogeneous network of discourses, institutions, norms, practices, and techniques that traverse and organize bodies and conducts, producing effects of truth and regimes of visibility. The study investigates how the DSM-V is configured as a strategic artifact in the articulation between psychiatric knowledge and governmental rationality. The methodology employed is a bibliographic approach, which makes it possible to trace the historical and political conditions of emergence of the DSM-V and the power dispositifs that sustain its authority. The central question guiding this research is: what ethical, political, and ontological implications result from the capture of madness by dispositifs that classify, normalize, and silence it? What regimes of truth are established in this process, and what possible forms of subjectivation become viable or unviable within the correlation between knowledge, power, and experience? The investigation identifies three central mechanisms that grant the manual its biopolitical character, namely: the ambiguity of the boundaries between health and mental illness, the use of statistical and population criteria as normative foundations, and the continuous expansion of diagnostic categories. The results suggest that the DSM-V not only classifies disorders but also participates in the normalization of everyday life, promoting processes of diffuse medicalization and neoliberal governmentality. By bringing into tension the limits between technique and politics, science and power, suffering and management, the dissertation highlights that the DSM-V actively participates in the production of a normative ontology of life, and concludes by pointing to the urgency of ethical and clinical practices that resist the capture of difference by the logic of pathologization. It is concluded that the DSM-V should be understood as a technical-discursive operator that acts in the constitution of contemporary subjectivities, producing ethical, political, and epistemological effects that require critical problematization. By evidencing the entanglement of science, power, and subjectivity, the dissertation contributes to the reflection on more plural alternatives that are sensitive to singularities in the field of mental health.

<title>O uso dos jogos como instrumento de formação nas leis de Platão</title>

Abstract: The main objective of this work is to understand and demonstrate the importance of games for the formation and regulation of citizens in the new city shaped by Plato in the work The Laws. To this end, the chosen research method was the analysis and bibliographic review of Books I, II, VII, and VIII of the same work; subsequently, secondary readings were conducted to highlight the relationship between education and the games proposed by Plato in the text. The intention, therefore, was to demonstrate how the teaching of virtues and the control of human excesses and desires can be more easily achieved, from early childhood, through the mediation of diverse games and play. Beyond the virtue of courage in children and young people a virtue that, in isolation, can cause immoderation and other resulting evils games have the potential to develop rules that moderate not only courage but all other virtues, enabling young people to become citizens more docile to the laws.

<title>Entre subalternidade e epistemologia: a emergência de um feminismo decolonial brasileiro</title>

Abstract: This study proposes a reflection on the mechanisms of power that shape feminist epistemology and investigates paths toward a decolonial theory that not only recognizes but amplifies the voices of subalternized and colonized women. By delving into Latin American counter-hegemonic feminist currents, we outline a trajectory that destabilizes imposed Western paradigms and claims situated knowledges. As we venture into Brazilian feminist theories, we find in Lélia Gonzalez's concept of 'amefricanidade' a fertile perspective for understanding the roots and crossroads of identities that emerge from diaspora, erasure, and resistance. Our theoretical framework was constructed from a broad survey of information, concepts, and critical perspectives originating from the Global South. The methodology adopted consisted of organizing the dissertation into chapters and subheadings, which allowed for a systematic and detailed presentation of the subject under analysis. In the first chapter, we developed a critical analysis of the relationships between colonialism, gender, and knowledge production. In the second chapter, we critically analyzed the constitution of modern thought and its epistemological, political, and social unfoldings, with special attention to the contributions of decolonial and feminist perspectives in the Global South. Finally, in the third and last chapter, we deepened the analysis of Lélia Gonzalez's thought, consolidating it as a central theoretical axis for the construction of a decolonial feminist epistemology situated in the Brazilian and Latin American context. Although the chosen debate is already well established in academic circles, we seek to go beyond traditional formulations, entering more incisively into the epistemologies of subalternized subjects, especially Brazilian women. The results obtained proved to be of great relevance for understanding the current situation of Brazilian feminist philosophy, which has been continuously deepened by the national intellectual community and disseminated in multiple spaces of political and cultural mobilization, especially among Black, peripheral, quilombola, and Indigenous women. We conclude that the struggle for rights and emancipation cannot be conceived in an individualized and fragmented manner, but must be carried out through collective practices of resistance, in which women themselves assert themselves as protagonists of their history and of their knowledge production.
