    <title>Pedaços costurados em 100 anos: como a obra Frankenstein é representada em dois séculos</title>

    <description>Título: Pedaços costurados em 100 anos: como a obra Frankenstein é representada em dois séculos

Abstract/Resumen: The present work consists of an analysis of the book Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, published in 1818 by Mary Shelley and revised by her in 1831; and the film Frankenstein, directed by James Whale in 1931 for Universal Studios, adapting Shelley's work for the cinema. It aims to analyze the temporalities manifested in both works, the themes explored, and the factors present at the beginning of the 20th century and in the entertainment industry that led the adaptation to be so different from the original work. Mary Shelley wrote a work strongly influenced by the intellectual discussions of the 19th century regarding the principle of life, giving rise to the famous monster created by Victor Frankenstein, which embodies a message about creation, rejection, and the possible horrors of science. In contrast, the 1931 film does not follow many of the themes present in the book, reinterpreting some events of the work for reasons such as censorship, cinematic language, and the target audience. The horror genre was still developing in the film industry at the beginning of the 20th century, especially in the United States, although many individuals inside and outside the country still considered them as works of bad taste either for moral reasons or due to traumas still present as a consequence of World War I, despite the popularity that the genre eventually attracted. This research was structured with a view to bringing historiography closer to the process of writing fiction, considering the subjectivity and intentionality with which the historian documents events. Therefore, the aim was to explore, through the lens of fiction, how certain concepts came to be portrayed in each century, within their respective eras. The methodology employed involves bibliographic and documentary research, using the book and film as a starting point for the analysis of their historical contexts. Along four chapters, the original work, the adaptation, and their respective historical contexts will be explored, lastly commenting on the possibilities of analyzing fiction in historiography and what works of fiction can reveal to the historian about their historical contexts, both in terms of factual events and the attitudes and opinions of people within those contexts.

    <title>Educação histórica e competências gerais: uma análise crítica do referencial curricular gaúcho no ensino médio público</title>

Abstract/Resumen: This research presents a critical analysis of the Referencial Curricular Gaúcho (RCG) for public&#xD;
high schools in Rio Grande do Sul, focusing on the History curriculum. Grounded in the field&#xD;
of Historical Education, the study investigates how the state curriculum, aligned with the&#xD;
National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and recent educational reforms, reflects a&#xD;
fragmented and market-oriented rationale that empties the formative role of History and reduces&#xD;
its critical and emancipatory potential. The study employs a qualitative approach through&#xD;
critical document analysis of the RCG and theoretical dialogue with authors such as Jacques Le&#xD;
Goff, who problematizes the intentionality of historical documents, and Ramon de Oliveira,&#xD;
who denounces the half-truths supporting the High School Reform. The findings indicate that&#xD;
the RCG, under the discourse of innovation, reinforces a logic of adapting students to market&#xD;
demands, fragmenting historical knowledge into skills and competencies while distancing itself&#xD;
from the critical and civic formation proposed by Historical Education. It concludes that the&#xD;
curriculum, by marginalizing History and silencing the popular youth of public schools,&#xD;
expresses a societal project that prioritizes the formation of functional and depoliticized&#xD;
individuals rather than historical and critical subjects.

Abstract/Resumen: The present research aims to approach the criminal trajectory of Alcebíades Vargas da Cunha, a subject with several prior encounters with the Justice system. For this purpose, a criminal case opened in 1957 is used, for the crime of homicide against his partner Dorvalina de Tal. The question that guides the research is: what is the trajectory of crimes of this subject? In addition, another question proves to be pertinent, after all, since he was well regarded by several voices in the case, what were the representations of the defendant? To answer these questions, a qualitative methodology was used, which values the micro-analysis of criminal case records. The results found were a trajectory permeated by violence, and convictions for Bodily Injury, homicide and defloration. Altogether, there were approximately twenty years of imprisonment; this represented half of his life with limitation of freedom. Moral values were also identified that permeate the different trials of the defendant; he, in turn, sought to use his reputation as a good worker as a foundation for lighter sentences, on the other hand, those who accused him used the transgression of moral principles to form an unfavorable conduct.

    <title>E quando as cortinas se fecham? Arte, história e trajetórias de artistas em Erechim/RS</title>

Abstract/Resumen: The present study aims to understand how artists from Erechim perceive art in their lives and how they construct their trajectories, identities, and forms of work. The research adopts a qualitative approach, using a questionnaire with open-ended questions as the data collection instrument and employing Content Analysis to interpret participants’ narratives. The analytical corpus was organized into four main categories: beginnings and access to art; identity as an artist; art, work, and survival; and barriers and inequalities in access to cultural expressions. The results indicate that the relationship with art emerges primarily in childhood, and that access to artistic practices is profoundly unequal and conditioned by family, socioeconomic, and institutional factors, revealing that early artistic formation depends both on spontaneous opportunities and on public policies and educational programs. For the participants, being an artist is not only a profession but a way of existing in the world, marked by sensitivity, critical awareness, and ethical commitment. The narratives also highlight the structural precariousness of artistic work, which requires professionals to accumulate multiple roles and survival strategies in the face of economic instability and the lack of continuous cultural investment.
