Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become widely popular with the creation of generative tools capable of producing texts, images, and audio from short input phrases. Given its exponential popularization and widespread use among the population, it is essential that the new generation learn to use these tools ethically, responsibly, and critically, understanding how they work, as well as their benefits and limitations. Through logic, assertions, and mathematical structures used in Computing, Mathematics has a strong connection with AI, opening up possibilities for integrated teaching in Basic Education. Therefore, this study aims to develop and analyze didactic sequences that enable students to develop skills and competencies by integrating AI and High School Mathematics concepts. To achieve this, a systematic literature review was initially conducted to analyze, describe, and infer about practices already being implemented in Basic Education. This was followed by a theoretical framework that revisits key concepts of AI, such as its definition, timeline, and processes like pattern recognition. It also addresses ethical issues arising from generative AI, its inclusion in Basic Education, curriculum guidelines, and theories such as Constructionism to support the developed didactic sequence. The didactic sequence created consists of four activities that aim to teach about AI using mathematical content. To collect data on the possible contributions of this didactic sequence, it was implemented in a municipal high school in Chapecó, with a high school class. The results and discussions are based on the researcher’s field notes and questionnaires conducted at the beginning and end of the implementation. They indicate that activities integrating AI and Mathematics can significantly contribute to the learning process in both areas. However, it is important to highlight the need for continuous and well-planned work with these proposals to ensure the consolidation of knowledge in both areas. In conclusion, activities that integrate AI and Mathematics can significantly enhance the teaching and learning processes in both fields.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze how Polya's method can contribute to solving mathematicalproblems in olympiads, especially in the final years of lower secondary education. Theresearch is based on a systematic literature review, as well as the practical application of themethod to selected problems from OBMEP (Brazilian Public School Math Olympiad) andOMOC (Western Santa Catarina Math Olympiad). By solving the problems using Polya'smethod, it was possible to observe that its application not only facilitates the understanding ofthe problems but also provides students with tools to structure and validate their solutions in alogical and organized manner.
