Abstract/Resumen: This research analyzes educational policies focused on the access and retention of autistic students in Higher Education, utilizing a post-critical epistemological framework with an emphasis on Foucaultian studies. It employs governmentality as a tool-concept to understand how knowledge and norms guide institutional practices. The central objective is to examine legal documents, guidelines, and policies published between 1988 and 2025 that regulate access and, primarily, the retention of these students, articulating these analyses with experiences narrated by autistic university students on social media. The results indicate that while extensive legislation regarding access exists, a rationality anchored in the knowledge of clinical governmentality prevails, producing significant gaps in retention conditions. The research highlights that the university space, historically governed by norms prioritizing medical knowledge, remains structured by regulatory practices that undermine the visibility of the subject of rights in Higher Education. It is observed that, in the governmentality of these students, practices emerge that articulate education, clinization, and power, demonstrating how clinical knowledge and norms guide institutional practices and regulate bodies within the university context. The study concludes that Higher Education remains structured by regulatory practices that give little consideration to the diversity of learning modes, evidencing a lack of support, inclusion, and academic retention.

Abstract/Resumen: Valproic acid (AVP), widely used in the treatment of epilepsy, psychiatric disorders, and migraine, also exhibits antitumor properties mainly associated with the inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACs), promoting epigenetic modulation and increased cellular sensitivity to cytotoxic agents. However, its prolonged use is associated with significant adverse effects, such as hepatotoxicity and systemic toxicity, which motivates the search for new, safer, and more effective derivative compounds. In this context, organometallic complexes emerge as a promising alternative, notably the derivative [Zn(Valp)₂Phen], which combines valproate with zinc and 1,10-phenanthroline, enhancing interactions with DNA and cytotoxic effects. In parallel, endometrial cancer is a significant public health problem, with a substantial increase in incidence and a need for new therapeutic approaches, especially given the resistance to conventional treatments. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic, antiproliferative, and anticoagulant effects of sodium valproate (NaValp) and its derivative [Zn(Valp)₂Phen] on human endometrial tumor cells (Ishikawa), comparing them with endometrial stromal cells (ESCs), and to investigate possible synergism with cisplatin. The results demonstrated that NaValp showed low cytotoxicity, not reaching the IC50 at the tested concentrations, especially in normal cells. In contrast, the organometallic derivative significantly reduced cell viability, with an approximate IC50 of 586 μM (24 h) and 340 μM (72 h) in Ishikawa cells. Furthermore, clonogenic assays confirmed a significant reduction in proliferative capacity, with a decrease of up to 73% in colony formation at higher concentrations of the derivative. Analysis of cell kinetics revealed an increase in population doubling time, indicating a sustained antiproliferative effect. Regarding the interaction with cisplatin, a relevant synergistic effect was observed, especially in the combination of 10 μM cisplatin with 100 μM [Zn(Valp)₂Phen], potentiating cytotoxicity in tumor cells without a significant increase in toxicity in normal cells, suggesting greater therapeutic safety. In relation to anticoagulant activity, NaValp showed a more pronounced effect with prolonged exposure, while the derivative demonstrated a more acute and concentration-dependent action, with a reduction in this effect over time. It is concluded that the organometallic derivative [Zn(Valp)₂Phen] exhibits superior cytotoxic, antiproliferative, and anticoagulant activity compared to sodium valproate, standing out as a potential candidate for the development of new, more selective and effective antitumor therapies. However, further in vitro and in vivo studies are needed for a better understanding of its mechanisms of action and to enable its safe clinical application.

Abstract/Resumen: This dissertation investigates amateur football as a constitutive element of community life in the municipality of Constantina, in the northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It analyzes how family ties, rivalries, religiosity, work, and leisure practices are articulated around the sport and transmitted through intergenerational memories and causos (anecdotes). The objective is to map the formation of rural and urban communities that comprised Constantina between 1950 and 1970 and to identify the presence of football in local community building, considering the different cultural matrices of the municipality—Italian and German immigration, caboclos, the presence of descendants of enslaved and formerly enslaved Black people, and Kaingang and Guarani Ñandeva indigenous groups located in the Serrinha Indigenous Land (Pinheiro Ralo/Fág Kavá). The temporal scope prioritizes social and territorial transformations that precede municipal emancipation processes (Liberato Salzano, 1964; Engenho Velho, 1992; Novo Xingu, 1996), mobilized as an interpretive key to understand cultural differences and their impacts on the dynamics of football. Methodologically, the research is based on Oral History, articulated with Pierre Nora's (1993) reflections on memory and the debate on football and culture in Damo (2003), in addition to Thompson (1963) to consider disputes as forms of culture and leisure. The main sources are 30 interviews with individuals linked to football in the studied communities, complemented by bibliographic records on local history (Santos, 2011; Carini, 2024). The results indicate that football acted as a space for sociability, belonging, and identity affirmation, influencing community organization, the relationship with religiosity, and forms of leisure, while simultaneously highlighting inequalities in access to resources, information, and infrastructure among the different groups. It is concluded that football, both inside and outside the four lines, constitutes an instrument of historical transformation and preservation of memories, contributing to strengthening local self-esteem and expanding regional historical records.

Abstract/Resumen: This dissertation aims to investigate how first-grade elementary school teachers perceive the relationship between continuing education and literacy teaching practices, considering the challenges and contributions of this process to their teaching performance in a municipality in northern Rio Grande do Sul. To achieve this objective, the study sought to understand the theoretical foundations of literacy and reading comprehension, continuing teacher education, and pedagogical practices, as well as to analyze the contributions of training processes to teacher professional development and the improvement of teaching quality. This research is characterized as qualitative, encompassing bibliographic study, documentary research, and field research. The literature review was conducted using books, articles, dissertations, and theses, including productions located in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), from 2014 to 2024. Official documents related to public policies on literacy and teacher training were also analyzed. The field research was developed through semi-structured interviews with three literacy teachers working in the 1st year of Elementary School in the Municipal Education Network. For data analysis, Textual Discursive Analysis (TDA) was used, based on Moraes and Galiazzi (2007) and Galiazzi and Sousa (2022). The analysis enabled the construction of six emerging categories: Weaving trajectories: the constitution of the literacy teacher; Stitching concepts: literacy, reading and writing skills, and the paths of the living word; Between letters, plans, and practices: the daily life of literacy; Teacher professional development: between daily reflection and collective training spaces; Being a literacy teacher: challenges in the school day; and Between experience and the collective: contributions to teacher professional development. The results show that continuing education, especially through study groups, constitutes an important space for learning, reflection, and the collective construction of knowledge. The teachers acknowledge that the exchange of experiences, collaborative planning, and reflection on practice strengthen their professional confidence and improve their teaching methods. It was also possible to identify that the teachers develop practices based on contextualizing learning, using concrete resources, valuing children's literature, and organizing routines and projects that are meaningful for the children. On the other hand, the research revealed challenges related to the heterogeneity of the classes, the children's attention and behavioral difficulties, the need for more individualized support, and the teachers' working conditions. Despite these difficulties, the participants demonstrate a reflective and committed attitude towards the children's learning, constantly seeking to redefine their pedagogical practices. It is concluded that ongoing professional development in context, linked to daily school life and based on peer collaboration, promotes teacher professional development, strengthens teacher autonomy, and contributes to the construction of more meaningful and contextualized literacy practices. As an educational product, a pedagogical notebook was developed for literacy teachers, with proposals aimed at reflecting on pedagogical practice and planning interventions that address the different learning levels present in the classroom.
