Abstract/Resumen: Weeds limit soybean production by competing for essential resources such as water, light, and nutrients. Therefore, chemical control should be based on knowledge of the species present, their potential to damage the crop, and the available management options, especially herbicides. In this context, this research aimed to evaluate the optimal timing for the control of hairy fleabane (Conyza bonariensis), as well as the effects of single or tank-mixed applications agricultural inputs on selectivity, physiological characteristics, and grain yield components of soybean with Enlist® technology. In the three field experiments conducted, the objectives were, respectively: (a) to evaluate the efficacy and selectivity of herbicides applied before and after soybean sowing for the control of hairy fleabane; (b) to assess selectivity, effects on physiological characteristics, and grain yield components of soybean with Enlist® technology when herbicides were applied alone or tank-mixed with agricultural inputs; and (c) to evaluate selectivity, effects on physiological characteristics, and grain yield components of soybean with Enlist® technology when insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides were applied alone or tank-mixed. The experiments were arranged in a randomized block design with four replications. The evaluated variables included hairy fleabane control, soybean phytotoxicity, and the effects of these factors on gas exchange and grain yield components of the crop, cultivar Vênus. The first study showed that treatments with mesotrione + atrazine, dicamba, 2,4-D, and atrazine + simazine applied in early management, combined with desiccation using diquat + saflufenacil and post-emergence application of 2,4-D choline + glyphosate, ensured effective control of hairy fleabane and higher grain yield. The second study demonstrated that the tank mixture of glyphosate+2,4-D choline with agricultural inputs increased phytotoxicity and reduced yield, especially in sequential applications (V3+V6), whereas the isolated use of agricultural inputs&#xD;
promoted an average increase of 3.16% in soybean grain yield. The third study showed that the application of glyphosate + ammonium glufosinate + 2,4-D choline + benzovindiflupyr + prothioconazole + thiamethoxam + lambda-cyhalothrin mixed in the spray tank resulted in the highest phytotoxicity to soybean and, at the same time, was one of the treatments that provided the highest grain yield. The use of different herbicides in early management, desiccation, and post-sowing soybean applications becomes an alternative for controlling hairy fleabane, resulting in high soybean grain yields. Herbicide mixtures with agricultural inputs, especially in sequential applications, increased phytotoxicity and reduced soybean grain yield. Applications of fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides tank-mixed increased phytotoxicity in soybean but did not necessarily compromise grain yield, highlighting the physiological and productive compensation capacity of Enlist® soybean.

      <title>Potencial inovador da cannabis sativa l. e técnicas de cultivo agroecológico para sua produção medicinal</title>

Abstract/Resumen: Cannabis sativa L. is a plant species that has been cultivated by humanity for millennia due to its versatility, which includes the production of fibers, food, construction materials, fuels, and medicines, among other uses. Despite its long-recognized potential, beginning in the 1930s, the plant became the target of a disinformation campaign and persecution, leading to its total prohibition in Brazil in 1938 for political, economic, and racial reasons. Through the work and dedication of researchers from various parts of the world, scientific evidence was gathered that helped elucidate the therapeutic properties of cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and other compounds present in Cannabis. Furthermore, the discovery of an endogenous biological system the endocannabinoid system revealed that these substances resemble molecules naturally produced by the body, enabling their use in treating various diseases and in maintaining bodily homeostasis. Due to scientific progress in this field, coupled with social demand and mobilization in response to the efficacy of these treatments, significant advances have been made in the regulatory guidelines concerning the medicinal and industrial use of Cannabis, as well as in the regulations for its cultivation in Brazil. Therefore, conducting research in this area is crucial to ensure the development and sustainability of this emerging industry, in addition to fostering debate on its various applications. This research seeks to analyze the innovative potential of the Cannabis industry and propose agroecological techniques for its medicinal cultivation. To achieve these objectives, the study was structured into three chapters: a literature review, an experience report article, and the creation of a technical product in the format of an informative booklet. The research results indicate that the development of the cannabis industry in Brazil, supported by academic institutions, public and private companies, and with societal participation, has the potential to revolutionize not only the healthcare sector but the economy as a whole through a regenerative and circular industrial model. This can contribute to strengthening farming, stimulating sustainable innovation, creating new businesses and jobs, and promoting social and environmental well-being. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop appropriate public policies and regulations that benefit and meet the demands of associations and patients, and that consider the medicinal, industrial, cultural, and spiritual uses this plant can offer.

Abstract/Resumen: The selection pressure imposed by the repeated use of acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibiting herbicides has selected Stellaria media biotypes resistant to these products. The characterization of these biotypes is essential to establish management strategies that prevent the spread of resistance. Thus, studies were conducted with the objective of evaluating the level, the mechanism of resistance, and alternative herbicides for the control of S. media biotypes resistant to metsulfuron-methyl. The studies were conducted with resistant biotypes from Carazinho and a susceptible one from Passo Fundo. According to the results, the resistant biotypes require metsulfuron-methyl doses 8 times higher than the susceptible biotype to achieve a 50% reduction in dry mass. The resistant biotypes are controlled, in post-emergence, with herbicides that present alternative mechanisms of action, such as glyphosate, saflufenacil, glufosinate-ammonium, and diquat. The resistance mechanism is not associated with differential metabolism, or alterations in the ALS gene or enzyme.
