Tradição inventada: a mitificação do gaúcho em Erechim de 1964 à 1985

Abstract

This study aims to make an official history revisionism in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which raises the question of the Farroupilha Revolution and its key leaders , confirming that this is an invented tradition, as well as the design of heroes does not fit the leaders farrapos. Making an analysis of official media city Erechim, the time frame from 1964 to 1985, during the Brazilian mi litary dictatorship, becoming noticeable that the dictatorial government used the newspaper the A Voz Da Serra, as developers invented this tradition to get the support of the population, as well as standardize it according to their ideals.
