dc.description.abstract | Comics appeared in the newspapers and so are regarded as cultural products that adapt to social changes. We know that women were present in the comics, but for a while they occupied a secondary role, or were hidden behind the main male character. The first female characters to gain major role in the stories were very eroticized and only with the advent of the feminist movement that the characters began to leave the passive condition to be active agents of equality, such as the character Aline of the cartoonist Adão Iturrusgarai. Published in the newspaper Folha de São Paulo between 1996 and 2004, Aline is stripped free from prejudice, free and libertarian, he speaks his mind and does what he wants. To contribute to women's history studies were needed to understand how this character is placed as disruptive of social standards, and in addition identify the role of the other female characters throughout history and the contribution of the same to the demystification of the submissive woman. | pt_BR |
dc.description.resumo | As histórias em quadrinhos surgiram nos jornais e por isso são considerados produtos culturais que se adaptam as mudanças sociais. Sabemos que as mulheres estiveram presentes nas histórias em quadrinhos, mas durante algum tempo elas ocuparam um papel secundário, ou seja, ficavam escondidas atrás do personagem principal masculino. As primeiras personagens femininas a ganhar papel principal nas histórias eram muito erotizadas e apenas com o advento do movimento feminista que as personagens começaram a sair da condição passiva para serem agentes ativas de igualdade, como é o caso da personagem Aline do cartunista Adão Iturrusgarai. Publicada no jornal Folha de São Paulo entre 1996 e 2004, Aline é despojada, livre de preconceitos, liberta e libertária, fala o que pensa e faz o que quer. Para contribuir nos estudos da história das mulheres foi necessário compreender como essa personagem se coloca como contestadora de padrões sociais, e além disso identificar o papel das demais personagens femininas ao longo da história e qual a contribuição das mesmas para a desmistificação da mulher submissa. | pt_BR |
