dc.description.abstractThis work aims to present the importance of environmental education in citizenship development process. The environmental issue is present in today's society, bringing with it responsibilities to the subject, those related to the preservation and protection of the environment. Environmental education should be present in all aspects of society, especially in educational environments, is guaranteed as a common right to every citizen. The construction of citizenship is linked with environmental education process in which the individual realizes his relationship with the environment and takes actions aimed at the preservation and conservation of this environment, expanding the exercise of the rights of the individual and the collective. Being a citizen is thus exercising citizenship through sustainable attitudes, building a responsible, active and conscious attitude of his actions thus ensuring a healthy and fair environment for this and future generations.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste trabalho tem como propósito apresentar a importância da Educação Ambiental no processo de desenvolvimento da cidadania. A questão ambiental está presente na sociedade atual, trazendo consigo responsabilidades ao sujeito, essas relacionadas com a preservação e proteção do meio ambiente. A Educação Ambiental deve estar presente em todos os aspectos da sociedade, principalmente nos ambientes educacionais, sendo garantida como um direito comum a todo e qualquer cidadão. A construção da cidadania está vinculada com o processo de educação ambiental, no qual o sujeito percebe sua relação com o meio ambiente e desenvolve ações, que visam a preservação e a conservação desse ambiente, ampliando o exercício dos direitos do indivíduo e da coletividade. Ser cidadão é, portanto, exercer a cidadania por meio de atitudes sustentáveis, construindo uma postura responsável, ativa e consciente de seus atos garantindo assim, um ambiente saudável e justo para esta e futuras gerações.pt_BR
