dc.description.abstractTaking into consideration the fact that football is experienced in the urban life of Chapecó resulting from Chapeco Football Association’s rise, researching about soccer and landscape in Chapecó (1920´s to 1970´s) aims at understanding how football has been a transforming agent in the city landscape and in the region around.This way, it is necessary to understand the introduction of soccer in the mid-nineteenth century and the spread of football in Brazil and in Santa Catarina, how it was brought to the west of the state and what transformations occurred in communities and urban centers. This research was carried out by using newspapers from old times, bibliography related to the theme, magazines and interviews with historical agents of the municipality. Therefore, it has been verified that football was elitist at its beginning and it was changed when it became popular, promoting interventions in the urban landscape, such as, meadow fields, which shows how football is a rite which transforms symbols, feeling and changes in the landscape.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoTendo em vista que o futebol está vivenciado na vida urbana de Chapecó decorrente da ascensão da Associação Chapecoense de Futebol, pesquisa-se sobre Futebol e paisagem em Chapecó (décadas de 1920 a 1970), a fim de objetivar como o futebol é um agente transformador da paisagem do município e região. Para tanto, é necessário entender a introdução do futebol em meados dos anos XIX e disseminação do futebol no Brasil e em Santa Catarina, como ele chegou ao oeste do estado e quais foram às transformações nas comunidades e centros urbanos. O caminho usado foi pesquisas em jornais da época, bibliografia relacionada à temática, revistas e entrevistas com agentes históricos do município. Diante disso, verifica-se que o futebol era elitista no seu princípio, e se transforma quando chega ao futebol popular, promovendo intervenções na paisagem urbana, como por exemplo, campos de várzea, o que impõe a constatação de como o futebol é um rito transformador de símbolos, sentimentos e mudanças na paisagem.pt_BR
