Evasão escolar no Colégio Estadual do Campo Izaias Rafael da Silva: um estudo de caso na realidade dos jovens das comunidades da sede e Água Branca

Abstract

This research was to be about the school dropout of young people linked to the communities of Sede and Água Branca, which are located in the Assentamento Libertação Camponesa, in the municipality of Ortigueira PR. The interest of this study pointed out what is causing young people to escape from school and what are the reasons. However, it is noticed that many young people are leaving school and remain in the settlement, perhaps because they work, they tend to evade school, since most of the young people live with their parents, in small properties, young people go to work on the farms surrounding the settlement. The methodology used was the quantitative and qualitative research with semi-structured interviews and being configured in a case study. In seeking to understand the issue, a reflexive process was made about the school dropout of young people in Brazil, listing some causes and consequences. Next, the research deals with historical elements of the Peasant Liberation Settlement, contextualizing the communities object of this study. Also, it brings historical and territorial elements of understanding of the State College of Campo Izaias Rafael da Silva. Finally, based on the interviews, the analysis is going to be focused on the deepening of the causes of school dropout among young people in the communities of Sede and Água Branca, based on the Campo Izaias Rafael da Silva State College.
