dc.description.abstract | Art resounds the warning to remember, to open the stages of history for the assembly of other pieces, different from those presented by those in power who wish to silence the diversity of actors in life. Jorge Andrade’s theatrical play O Incêndio from 1979 assumes the anarchiving process to remind us of the intolerances that official narratives want to preserve in their archives. Thus, it remains for Jorge to metamorphose the Benjaminian narrator in order to enact the anarchivers forces and remove the history that many want to forget from the back of the archive drawer. Aluísio Jorge de Andrade Franco was born in 1922 in the city of Barretos/SP and after graduating from the Escola de Artes Dramáticas, he began a prestigious career in Brazilian theater and internationally recognized, he also wrote for television and cinema. The dramaturgy O Incendio, published in 1979, is a rescue of the History of the vanquished, the text recounts the 1950’s lynching of four people accused of burning the church in Chapecó/SC, a crime committed by local elites and which became a censored subject in official history. Jorge Andrade takes to the stage of History what was among the ruins and rubble, overturns and subverts power to proclaim the anarchy of official narratives that work for oppression. The present historical research is an attempt to remember the injustices caused by art and, with art, to enable new futures. | pt_BR |
| pt_BR |
