Estudo de viabilidade econômica de três atividades de produção: soja, leite e bicho da seda em uma unidade de produção do município de Porto Barreiro – PR

Abstract

This work aims to study the economic feasibility of three activities and propose three production alternatives: soy, milk and silkworm. Whereas the soy milk production activities and are already applied to Agricultural Production Unit –UPA and silkworm production activity has been suggests a complementary alternative income. To analyze the activities was selected a property of the municipality of Porto Barreiro, in the State of Paraná and a questionnaire aiming to capture data on the performance of investments, income, expenses and/or costs.The study of the viability of current performance and the possibility of implementing the production of silkworm activity were analyzed and interpreted through the investment analysis methods (production resources) having as parameter the Minimun Rate of Attractiveness - TMA and the Internal Rate of Return - TIR indicators, Net Present Value - VPL and Payback for three alternative proposals on the way comparative research the different scenarios for the farm.There were three viability of alternative proposals for the study: the first uses soy and milk, the second uses soy, milk and silkworm and the third milk and silkworm. The study results showed that the first alternative presented low economic result for the methods of the TIR and VPL and Payback very high, demonstrating the current difficulties of sustainability of such activities.The second alternative has resulted in significant improvement of its results, enabling a more promising economic returns.The third scenario was presented as the best alternative because it indicated a superior economic performance over the opportunity cost. Thus, the implementation of the silkworm culture and the suppression or soybean crop abandonment would be the best alternative from an economic point of view leading to UPA sustainability.
