Redes de turismo rural e gastronômico e o desenvolvimento regional na região Fronteira Noroeste/RS

Abstract

Development studies point to its advancement through rural and gastronomic tourism networks, being an alternative for economic and social growth, generation of complementary income for farmers and other people involved. Tourist and business networks help attract investments and promote regional development, in the economic, cultural and socio-environmental spheres. We sought to analyze the perception of agents linked to rural and gastronomic tourism regarding the creation of tourism networks for regional development in the Northwest Frontier region. For this, applied research was carried out, with a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach, through structured interviews, which were carried out in the first quarter of 2022 with the managers of tourist enterprises and with the public actors of the region linked to the theme, data analysis was performed through discourse analysis. Among the main results found are the positive perception of public and private agents regarding the creation of tourist networks and the perception of their influence on regional development. It was also found that the agents believe that there is a lot of tourist potential in the region, but that they are still not receiving due importance, both in terms of raising awareness among the actors involved and in the application of resources and efficient planning of public actions. Therefore, the research intended to corroborate with the managers regarding the possibility of connection in tourist networks, with an increase in sustainability, and to assist public agents in the diagnosis and decision making in the actions and public policies of tourism.
