O normal é tecnológico: a cisgeneridade como somatécnica

Abstract

The present work dialogues with the work of Feminist Studies, the Science Studies and the Anthropology of Science and Technics that through the analysis of technology question the limits of the normal and the natural. This work is an archeogenealogical experimentation that elaborates an interpretation key on cisgenderism based on its technologies. Through an archeogenealogical reading, we sought in authors suchs as Michel Foucault, Thomas Laqueur, Nikki Sullivan, Susan Stryker, Paul B. Preciado, Viviane Vergueiro and Donna Haraway lines of anchorage and comprehension for the discussion about cisgenderism through concepts like political technology of the body, the cyborg, somateca and somatechnics. We treat the problem of the body outside the binary oppositions that have, for a long time, occupied the discussions in the scope of the social and human sciences, problematizing such oppositions and leadig the debate into the technological scope. For this purpose, we comprehend the body as always already technologized and the technology as always already embodied. We take up the foucauldian disciplinary and biopolitical regime to historically and politically contextualize the conditions of possibility of the somatechnics that elaborate masculine bodies (men) and feminine ones (women) as complementary opposites. We aim for the transification of the gendering processes to, then, demonstrate how the cis body, as well as the trans* body, is mediated by a technological network. We will demonstrate how cisgenderism is technologically elaborated by being equated to the normal and the natural. Therefore, we sustain the existence of a cis working that captures all bodies by gendering them. This way, cis and trans emerge in the scope of the work not as gender identities, but as statused of gender.
