Violência contra a mulher: casa Abrigo Maria Maria e rede de enfrentamento na Cidade de Chapecó-SC

Abstract

Violence against women is a worldwide phenomenon, and it is increasingly present in our daily lives, often with people in the family or our social circle, being victimized. This work addresses this relevant topic, as well as the forms of violence against women, information about the laws that help these women, emphasizing the Maria da Penha Law and the Protection Networks available for women victims of domestic violence in Chapecó-SC. . The objective of this work was to draw an economic and social profile of women victims of violence, who were welcomed at the Abrigo Maria Maria house from January 2019 to March 2022, seeking to analyze their professional situation, education and age group. This is a quantitative study, using data collected in notebooks of internal records, at the Maria Maria shelter, which aims to welcome women who have suffered domestic violence and have registered a police report with or without protective measures. At the end of this research, it was found the low rate of completion of schooling, the high rate of women without work, and automatically without their own income, most with children to support, resulting in financial dependence on the aggressors, and consequently in the permanence, in these relationships extremely harmful to their health, mental, physical and emotional, thus emphasizing the importance of information and guidance to these women victims of violence, so that they can, with the help of protection networks, improve their lives and their children, far from the suffered violence.
