Percepção de moradores sobre a arborização urbana em Ampére / PR

Abstract

With the action of man, our environment has been undergoing several changes. In cities, benefits can be seen directly related to the existence and quality of urban afforestation, such as the presence of shade, reduced temperatures, shelter for local fauna and aesthetic issues. The negative aspects of urban afforestation are often associated with little or even lack of planning in its implementation. This work aims to evaluate the population's perception of Ampére's urban afforestation, located in the southwest of Paraná. Data were collected from semi-structured questionnaires answered online by 94 residents of the municipality. The responses were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively and indicated that: 93.6% of the survey participants confirmed that they know what urban afforestation is; 76.6% classified the municipality as lightly wooded. The positive points observed by the participants in relation to the presence of urban afforestation are: presence of shade, aesthetic issues, presence of shelter for fauna, reduction in temperature; increase in air quality, environmental preservation. As for the responsibility for urban afforestation, 93.6% of the interviewees believe that it is shared between the population and the city. It is hoped that the work developed, can collaborate with future actions of Environmental Education and development of public policies related to the urban afforestation of Ampére / PR.
