Perfil de intervenções terapêuticas e educacionais em crianças com transtorno do espectro autista na cidade de Passo Fundo/RS

Abstract

Objective: Identify the profile of therapeutic and educational interventions performed in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Passo Fundo - RS. Methods: This is a descriptive study, carried out from December 2021 to May 2022. A questionnaire was used, prepared through the Google Forms® online platform, which was developed and supervised by the project team, divided into three main items: Patient data, Educational Interventions and Therapeutic Interventions, which are divided into sub items aimed at understanding the psychosocial history of the autistic person and those responsible and the analysis of the profiles of interventions that occur to this patient. The data obtained were extracted from the online platform, in electronic spreadsheet format, and later converted for statistical analysis in the PSPP software. Therefore, the absolute and relative distribution of the frequencies of the categorical variables was verified and the prevalence of the dependent variable (amount, time and type of therapies) was calculated. Results: The sample consisted of 15 children, showing that most of them had an early diagnosis, in addition to 12 of the children present in the study being male and 10 of these presenting grade 1 of ASD, it is corroborated that due to the parents' education there is great adherence to therapeutic, mainly speech therapy, occupational therapy and psychopedagogy, and educational interventions and that these are essential for the neuropsychomotor and social development of children. Conclusions: This study demonstrated profile results of therapeutic and educational interventions in agreement with that found in previous studies.
