Paulina Chiziane: narrativas de mulheres em uma guerra, na obra "Ventos do Apocalipse"

Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze, through a historical perspective with an intersectional approach, Paulina Chiziane's narrative contained in her work Ventos do Apocalipse - the main source of this research - and how this writing provides an understanding of the multiple roles of women in society during a civil war in Mozambique. Based on this objective, the following question is posed: How can Paulina Chiziane's narrative contribute to the protagonism of Mozambican women and to a perspective of liberation for the Mozambican people? Through the analysis of the literary source we understand the importance of women in the social context of the civil war in Mozambique (1976 - 1992), experienced by the author Paulina Chiziane, who, based on reports and experiences, makes us think through writing about Mozambican society, colonialism , black African woman and liberation. As for the methodology applied, biographical research will be the main way of relating the aspects that will speak to the narrative of the main source, thinking about decolonial feminism through (Vergès, 2020) the intersectional concepts and studies addressed by Patricia Hill Collins (2020) , Grada Kilomba (2019), Djamila Ribeiro (2017), bell hooks (2015) and the issue of violence from Frantz Fanon (2022). It is hoped that this research will be a form of contribution to thinking about the conditions and actions of Mozambican women during the period of the civil war in Mozambique, both those who participated as soldiers or active helpers, and those who, amid all the political chaos and The climates were providers and protectors of their lives.
