Motivações para a permanência ou retorno dos jovens no campo: o caso do município de Arvoredo-SC

Abstract

The present work seeks to understand what it make it that there is interest to stay in the countryside by part of the young people of the community of Lomba Grande, Arvoredo, state of Santa Catarina. The work makes an analysis on the context of the structure of the rural properties in the scope of family farming in the west of Santa Catarina. In view of the emptying of the countryside, being greater the exit of young people, this research seems to observe which are the main motivations that contribute to young people staying in the rural properties, or that at any given moment they return to them, having the work in the field as source of income and/or survival.
