Organização familiar frente ao cuidado de idosos dependentes

Abstract

This is a qualitative study aimed to understand how is the organization of caregivers of dependent elderly families in a neighborhood in the city of Chapecó. Study participates ram- 5 subjects who played the role of primary caregiver. Data collection was divided into two stages, the first with closed questions for information to identify the participants, such as age, sex, educational level , marital status, income , level of dependence ( Katz scale ) and the second focusing on family organization . To analyze the data we used the Collective Subject Discourse. The discourses revealed that for all the family need to adapt the routines imposed by the presence of the elderly , the primary caregiver is the family member who most change their habits , and suffer deprivation of liberty and changes in routine . It was evident in the speeches as the caregivers and families need the attention and support of health teams.
