Segurança do paciente na sala de recuperação pós-anestésica: um cuidado desvelado nesse território de passagem

Abstract

The use of Relief protocols in health care permits the revision of professional practice and the replacement of empirical attitudes informed scientifically. Patient safety in the perioperative period has been widely regarded by the health services because of the increasing complexity of the anesthetic-surgical process and the need to adopt specific standards for the prevention of errors and fruit events this time so vulnerable to the patient and multidisciplinary team. However, the surgery Challenge Secure Lifesaving still need to be effected in the postoperative period with a view to strengthen the quality of care provided and minimize the risks and adverse events in the post anesthetic recovery. This study aimed to develop a Care Protocol for the safe management of the patient in the recovery room of a hospital in the western region of Santa Catarina, through qualitative look and following the theoretical and methodological principles of Care Convergent Research. Obtained as a result the development of a clinical protocol for the safe management of the patient in the recovery room and the extension of the Surgical Safety Checklist for the postoperative period. Found that these instruments contribute to the promotion of patient safety and staff, preventing errors, systematizing the nursing assistance and scientifically basing the daily practices.
