Abstract/Resumen: This monograph intends to analyze the images "The Young attacked by Death" (1495), "Young couple stalked by Death" (1496-7), Albrecht Dürer, and "Death and the Maiden" (1515) and "The Death and the Woman "(1518-20), Hans Baldung Grien, in order to investigate how occur the relationship between the representation of death with vivid characters, represented in productions. For this, these representations are related to other works produced in the same period, by artists such as Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel and Hans Holbein. Dürer and Baldung, like his contemporaries, portrayed the death or the dangers of living carefree with her eminence. However, the two artists have addressed the issue in ways that diverge from those used by his contemporaries. With the help of iconological interpretation, organized by Erwin Panofsky, the four works will be articulated to the concepts of "memento mori", "vanitas" and "ars moriendi", through the identification of common elements between the productions. Finally, these works will be examined in front of a consideration of Johan Huizinga, on the representations of death produced between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, so signaling the existence of a natural way to perceive and represent the death.
