A noção de ipseidade na contemporaneidade: a identidade cultural de Stuart Hall frente ao ser-si-mesmo em Heidegger

Abstract

The present Master dissertation seeks to describe some conceptions about the question of ipseity (self-being) present in Martin Heidegger's work Being and Time, insofar as the German philosopher replaces the question of being through the question about the meaning of being. In the same way, we intend to analyze the question of cultural identity in Stuart Hall's thought, from the conception of the postmodern subject who, when moving out of himself, seeks to become a subject of his time. However, Heidegger sought to ground an ontology based on the analytic of Dasein according to its mode of being, demystifying the philosophical tradition that dealt with studying being as “thing”, to project an ontology that concerns not with what (with the essence of being), but with the how (with the sense of Being). In this way, Dasein is the only being that can leave the ontic scope and transcend to the ontological one, that is, it goes out of the scope of "things" and accesses their meaning. In addition, we will try to explain some Heideggerian concepts about the notion of otherness while Dasein establishes relations with "other"[Dasein]. Besides that, we will try to explain the diasporic concept of displacement according to the notion of identification, moment in which Hall deconstructs the modern conception of unilateral identity to deal with identities for individuals. Finally, we shall infer the hermeneutic language of facticity, inasmuch as Dasein as being-there is being-in-the-world and, therefore, is being-with-other, so that the being which understands its surroundings comprises its facticidade, thus understanding the self-being.
