| Resume: | Pretendemos neste trabalho, discutir a disputa do poder e apropriação do catolicismo em relação a religiosidade popular no município de Erechim, no período de 1944, ano em que Dorothéa Menegon Farina relata ter visões de Nossa Senhora, momento em que a Igreja levanta muitos questionamentos a respeito da figura de Dorothéa e a extrema e instantânea devoção do povo para com esse acontecimento. Tem-se a intenção de analisar o que levou a história a se perpetuar até os dias atuais, inclusive com a construção de um Santuário, que acabou sobrevivendo mesmo com manifestações contrarias da Igreja Católica. O estudo desse momento histórico local, permite conhecer as relações de poder entre a religião e seus seguidores, suas relações de enfrentamento no campo religioso o que levou a uma disputa pela “verdade” do imaginário coletivo em relação a fé. |
| Abstract: | In this work we intend to discuss the power struggle between Catholicism and popular religiosity in the municipality of Erechim, in the period of 1944, the year Dorothea Menegon Farina reports having visions with Our Lady of the Rosary, triggering the Church to raise many questions regarding the figure of Dorothéa and the extreme and instant devotion of the people to this event. We intend to analyze what has led the history to perpetuate to the present day, including the construction of a Sanctuary, which ended up surviving even with opposing manifestations of the Catholic Church. The study of this local historical moment allows us to understand the power relations between religion and its followers, their confrontational relations in the religious field which leads to a dispute for the "truth" of the collective imaginary in relation to faith. |
