Questão agrária no Mato Grosso: histórico do agronegócio e do MST

Abstract

This research aims to understand the relationship between the concepts of Agribusiness and its interests in Mato Grosso, contextualizing the Green Revolution and the conservative restructuring of the Brazilian countryside and the advancement of agribusiness in this process of capitalist accumulation. It also addresses the emergence of the Landless Movement-MST in the State of Mato Grosso, bringing elements of the struggle for the Earth, and the conflicts in the field. The research strategy used was through bibliographical research, making an analysis of the theoretical contributions that dealt with this theme and data collection through documentary, in documents and archives of the MST and CPT (Pastoral Land Commission), the documents researched and studied were: newspaper clippings and also internal documents such as booklets, training books and others. The MST has been consolidating itself as a Movement that opposes agribusiness and that continues in the struggle for agrarian reform, which although it still has many conflicts and tensions that demand a lot of resistance from peasants and militants, has been effective in the struggle of the workers.
