Práticas de responsabilidade socioambiental nas empresas participantes do núcleo de sustentabilidade de Chapecó-SC

Abstract

In the current context, environmental and social issues play a leading role in many business organizations and are objectives of a more responsible management towards their stakeholders. In this way, this study aimed to analyze the main practices of social and environmental responsibility in the participating companies of the Sustainability Hub in Chapecó - SC. In order to meet this objective, a systematic review was initially conducted, which sought to identify, from the recent literature, other case studies already performed in the area. Concomitantly, a qualitative, descriptive research was developed through multi case with Chapecó’s Sustainability Hub, eight organizations were interviewed and their practices were raised. The results demonstrate that there are several social and environmental responsibility practices used by these organizations - all the organizations investigated use practices both in the social and environmental pillar. However, the social pillar has the largest number of projects. Among the main environmental practices are the conscious use of materials, the correct disposal of waste and water consumption saving. The main social practices are focused on encouraging education and sport, mainly in the first case with employees and in the second with the local community. It is emphasized in the study the role of the Hub in aiding the training and execution of such projects, however some improvements can be made in order to mainly align these practices with each organization's strategy.
