Não se nasce mulher negra, torna-se: resistindo a perspectiva de gênero

Abstract

The present course conclusion paper has the theme “You are not born a black woman, you become: resisting the gender perspective”. In order to problematize the invisibility of black women, through the generating question “Where are black women in (H) history, understanding that the current status of invisibility of these subjects is not something given, but is part of the remnants that the process of dehumanization occurred in the period of racial slavery. And it is also necessary to understand that the movement of subordination of black women involves not only social, economic and political issues, but also happens in the academic sphere through sexism and epistemic racism, and the universalization of the woman category. The methodology used to answer this research, bibliographic material, scientific articles, theses, books that dialogued with the concepts of gender, race and class. The invisibility of black women as an active subject of (H) history is due to a process of universalization of the woman category, through the discourses of masculinization, gender erasure, dehumanization of black bodies and exclusion from political and social life.
