| Resume: | O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso (TCC) tem como tema regente a liberdade humana e a importância da educação para a constituição do homem livre, conforme o pensamento do filósofo Baruch Espinosa. O propósito central é analisar a concepção de liberdade do autor e os seus fundamentos, buscando mostrar qual a importância da educação no processo ético de constituição do homem livre. Partindo de uma pesquisa bibliográfica de sua obra Ética, a análise teve como resultado a compreensão de que a liberdade humana consiste na capacidade do homem agir por virtude, ou seja, determinar-se a si mesmo a agir exclusivamente segundo as leis de sua natureza, sem que seja determinado ou coagido a operar por alguma causa exterior. Além disso, foi possível concluir que a educação é um recurso imprescindível para o desenvolvimento ético dos homens, permitindo que estes possam se constituir livremente mediante o ensino das virtudes, e, assim, tornarem-se convenientes em natureza segundo a razão. |
| Abstract: | The present undergraduate thesis has as its guiding theme human freedom and the importance of education for the constitution of the free man, in accordance with philosopher Baruch Spinoza‟s thinking. The central purpose is to analyze the author‟s conception of freedom and its foundations, seeking to show the importance of education in the ethical process of constitution of the free man. Starting from a bibliographic research of his work Ethics, the analysis had as result the comprehension that human freedom consists of the man‟s capacity to act out of virtue, that is, to determine himself into acting exclusively according to the laws of his nature, without being determined or coerced to take action because of some external cause. Furthermore, it was possible to come to conclusion that education is an indispensable resource for the ethical development of human beings, allowing them to freely constitute themselves through the teachings of virtues, and, thus, become convenient in nature according to reason. |
