A história na Era dos perfis: mobilizações do 13j em São Paulo da perspectiva dos perfis de Twitter

Abstract

This dissertation had as its object/theme the investigation of the June 2013 Conference, from the perspective and perspective of virtual social networks, specifically Twitter. The use of social networks in recent years has been extremely important for the organization and dissemination of information about social movements in view of the dynamics and agility that they enable. Given these aspects it should be noted that in various countries of the world these spaces / tools were present. In Brazil during June 2013, civil society organized or did not engage in various public “acts” aimed at revoking the increase in public transport tariffs scheduled for that month. Here we will study several profiles that were present on Twitter and which had more prominence and centrality in the network, aiming to understand with greater accuracy what were the main assumptions present in social networks: these are their actors, guidelines/claims, discussions and events. The main objectives of this research are: to locate the main political and historical actors present in the streets and social networks; identify the main agendas and social demands; understand the role of Twitter, traditional and alternative media in constructing narratives about mobilizations; analyze and crystallize the understanding about social networks and their functions in the dissemination and organization of the June 2013 days.
