O corpo feminino em protestos: uma análise discursiva

Abstract

This work intends to understand the formulation, constitution and circulation of the discourses of and about the female body. Our analytical corpus includes images of women made during the political manifestation “ELENÃO” of 2018, that circulated, above all, on social networks that same year. In these images, the women in question have their bodies painted with inscriptions, symbols, stickers and slogans that represent the movement. That is, we understand that there is a discursive materiality. The body preserves the subject's materiality, therefore, this body, in a context of manifestations, is symbolic and produces a discursiveness about the subject. That way, we are interested in looking discursively at our object of study to understand the functioning of the ideology that is constitutive of discourse. Our research is therefore justified by its social relevance, since it focuses on issues that destabilize hegemonic discourses in a highly hierarchical and patriarchal society. These ruptures in discourse produce other ways for women to signify themselves in society, as well as to reflect on their constitution as subjects. In our perspective we understand that the body is crossed by the politician, there are power relations that operate on him, marking him, training him, charging him signs. As we launch interpretative gestures on the images, we learn more about ourselves, the world and our own and the power relations that affect and constitute the discourse about the body. The methodology used for this work is of the Analysis of Discourse of French line, having as its biggest exponent, Michel Pêcheux, as well as scholars of the subject such as Foucault, Courtine, Pinto, among others.
