Abstract: | The present work aimed to evaluate the postharvest conservation conditions of the Xingu blackberry cultivar, submitted to different packages and to point out the best packaging considering the in natura commercialization of these fruits. The experiment was conducted at the Agroecology, Plant Physiology and Plant Health laboratories of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul, Cerro Largo campus, and the design used for the distribution of treatments in B.O.D. it was entirely randomized. The treatments consisted of: (T0) control, (T1) styrofoam covered by polyethylene film, (T2) tray and (T3) plastic bag. The parameters evaluated were fruit length over the days of storage, estimated fruit mass loss, soluble solids, titratable acidity, relationship between soluble solids and titratable acidity, mean fruit shade and occurrence of fungal diseases in the fruits. The packaging that presented the highest parameters of soluble solids, titration and relationship between them was polystyrene covered styrofoam. The package that presented the largest fruit length on the last day of evaluation and in which the fruits presented the largest mass even with the least difference in relation to the others was when the plastic bag was used. Regarding the occurrence of fungal disease, only in the control was observed the presence of the fungus Botrytis sp, which causes fruit rot. |
