| Resume: | O vento tem influência direta em várias atividades humanas, dentre as quais as atividades agrícolas. Este trabalho tem objetivo de determinar a velocidade média, frequência média da direção e velocidade média e direção da rajada do vento, além de horários de maior favorabilidade para irrigação por aspersão e pulverização agrícola em São Luiz Gonzaga – RS, utilizando os dados da estação meteorológica automática do INMET localizada no município. Os dados foram analisados com planilhas eletrônicas e gráficos. Como resultado obteve-se velocidade média do vento de 3,17 m s-1, e direção do vento predominante leste. Quanto a favorabilidade para pulverização agrícola os resultados mostraram como melhor horário o das 19h com velocidade de vento observada de 3 a 10 km h-1, (62,90% de dias favoráveis) e na velocidade de até 10 km h-1 (72,02% de dias favoráveis). Quanto a favorabilidade para irrigação por aspersão, na faixa de velocidade de vento de 0 a 4 m s-1 o horário mais favorável é o das 19h (93,39% de dias favoráveis), e quanto a rajada em São Luiz Gonzaga a direção é norte. |
| Abstract: | Wind has a direct influence on various human activities, including agricultural activities. This work aims to determine the average speed, average frequency of direction and average speed and direction of the gust of wind, as well as the most favorable times for sprinkler irrigation and agricultural spraying in São Luiz Gonzaga - RS, using data from the weather station. INMET located in the municipality. Data were analyzed with spreadsheets and charts. The result was an average wind speed of 3.17 m s-1 and predominant east wind direction. As for the favorability for agricultural spraying, the results showed the best time at 19h with observed wind speed of 3 to 10 km h-1, (62.90% of favorable days) and the speed of up to 10 km h-1 (72.02% favorable days). As for the favorability for sprinkler irrigation, in the wind speed range from 0 to 4 m s-1 the most favorable time is 19h (93.39% of favorable days), and the gust in São Luiz Gonzaga the direction north. |
