Abstract: The agent Scleriotinia sclerotiorum that causes white mold in more than 450 plant species is one of the most worrying diseases in grain producing countries. Moreover, the fungus produces survival structures called sclerotia that can remain active in the soil for up to ten years causing disease for several years, making it increasingly difficult to control, mainly in regions of milder climate, because of this reason characteristic contribute the incidence of the fungus among the many forms of containment and mitigation of the damage caused, alternative control with plant extracts and essential oils is increasingly gaining ground with an option to control phytopathogenic since these vegetables produce antimicrobial compounds that interact with disease-causing agentes. Aiming to contribute contribute to the search for alternative measures for the control of white mold and future development of new products, the objective of the present work was to evaluate the preventive and curative potential of different concentrations of Baccharis dracunculifolia extract in the control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in detached canola leaves. (Brassica napus). For this,we used the concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of field rosemary extract were preventively applied 24 hours and 48 hours before canola leaflets inoculation with S. sclerotiorum, and applied 24 hours and 48 hours after canola leaf blade inoculation with disease-causing agente. Evaluations were performed according to the stringency score which finally calculated the area under the disease progress curve (AACPD). Data were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression. In the qualitative factor, the means were compared by the Tukey test at 5% of probability, and in the quantitative factor regression equations at 5% of probability nor is it a coefficient of determination (R²). The analyzes were performed using the computer system SISVAR. Concerning the preventive effect 24 and 48 hours before inoculation, the diferente concentrations, provideded significant difference between them, , but when the applications are performed 48 hours in advance, the AACPD is reduced when compared to the application performed 24 hours in advance. In the curative effect, the concentrations, as well as the 24 and 48 hours of application time did not show significant difference in the control or reduction of the AACPD, being therefore similar to inoculated witness that has not received any applications.
