Debate sobre o processo de descarte e resguardo em arquivo escolar: discussão acerca do arquivo da E.E.B Felisberto de Carvalho

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the motivations that lead certain documentary sets to be preserved in school archives to the detriment of others of similar type or characteristics. The research is justified because the restricted production of works on the theme of school archives is that in the local space where this work is done there is no academic production on the archive and few considerations are given to the maintenance of the space being for this purpose. This research is an addition to national considerations and an initiative to enable further local debate. Regarding the space of this work it occurs in the archive of E.E.B Felisberto de Carvalho is to address the period from 1982 to 2015. For the development of this work began by analyzing some concepts such as archive, memory and preservation theoretically grounding perspectives and ideas necessary to understand the archive following the collection of data about the file space in the school and its documentation which led in the chapter two the analysis of the archive in three distinct periods seeking to understand the various circumstantial patterns that intertwine in the observed space. It was concluded that in the space of the school in question the file and documentation were mostly kept and did not have a process of discarding the stored documentation even though it is possible to use other means to maintain the file documentation data such as the media. digital.
