| Title: | Normatização do espaço urbano: um estudo da Avenida Getúlio Vargas, Chapecó – 1937-1945 |

| Resume: | O trabalho tem por objetivo compreender o processo de modernização ocorrido em Chapecó, tendo como foco de análise a Avenida Getúlio Vargas, assim como a percepção de progresso que era entendido nos anos de estudo (1937-1945), período do Estado Novo sob o governo de Getúlio Vargas. Analisar-se-á em que medida o ideal de normatização do espaço urbano se intensificou, durante os anos em questão, respaldado num “sentimento” de nacionalidade, civismo, progresso e modernidade. Para a análise fora utilizado materiais iconográficos, representações cartográficas e o jornal “A Voz de Chapecó”, com o intuito de perceber as alterações no espaço e as políticas de normatização utilizadas, por meio de discussões conceituais que envolvem o urbano e a concepção de cidade, tanto para os anos em questão, quanto uma consideração acerca dos termos debatidos na pesquisa. É, também, foco desta pesquisa, fomentar a discussão em relação às atribuições do espaço e as características adotadas ao longo dos anos estudados. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this work is to understand the process of modernization that took place in Chapecó, focusing on the Getulio Vargas Avenue, as well as the perception of progress that was understood in the years of study (1937-1945), the Estado Novo period under government of Getúlio Vargas. It will be analyzed to what extent the ideal of standardization of urban space has intensified during the years in question, supported by a "feeling" of nationality, citizenship, progress and modernity. For the analysis, we used iconographic materials, cartographic representations and the newspaper "A Voz de Chapecó", in order to perceive the changes in space and the normative policies used, through conceptual discussions that involve the urban and the city conception , both for the years in question and a consideration of the terms discussed in the survey. It is also the focus of this research, to foment the discussion regarding the attributions of the space and the characteristics adopted over the years studied. |
