Avaliação clínico radiológica do tratamento conservador em pacientes com a doença de Legg-Calvé-Perthes

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical and radiological outcomes from the patients with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, classified as Laredo I and II and submitted to conservative treatment. Methods: The study population were patients with Legg- Calvé-Perthes disease classified as Laredo I and II by the Hospital São Vicente de Paulo (IOT/HSVP), in Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil and submitted to conservative treatment, in the period between January 2009 and March 2018. Patients were assessed by comparing the Internal Rotation values before treatment and after treatment. Also, they had a clinical evaluation based on the Harris Hip Score, and radiological evaluation based on the Stulberg’s classification. Results: With 27 patients, there was a significant increase of the internal rotation after the treatment (p<0,001). The mean increase was 9,6º (95% CI: 6,8º - 12,4º). Conclusion: Patients with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease classified as Laredo I or II, when submitted to conservative treatment, had an internal rotation improvement and better clinical and radiological results.
