| Resume: | Esta pesquisa-intervenção de abordagem qualitativa teve como objetivo conhecer as percepções de primigestas sobre o ato de amamentar, para proporcionar orientações sobre os benefícios do aleitamento materno. Participaram cinco gestantes, acompanhadas em uma Estratégia Saúde da Família de um município do interior do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, no período de março a setembro de 2018. Foi realizada entrevista semiestruturada, intervenção através de uma consulta de enfermagem com foco na amamentação e, após o nascimento do bebê, uma segunda entrevista para analisar se a intervenção auxiliou as puérperas com a amamentação. Para análise de dados, utilizou-se o método de análise de conteúdo. Emergiram as seguintes categorias: expectativas com a amamentação e vivenciando o ato de amamentar. Os resultados evidenciaram que as expectativas da gestação se concretizaram ao vivenciar o ato de amamentar. Os medos e as dúvidas estiveram presentes, principalmente por serem primigestas. Destaca-se o saber popular, e o saber científico através das agentes comunitárias de saúde e da enfermeira residente por meio da intervenção. Portanto, é primordial que todos os profissionais da Atenção Básica incentivem o aleitamento materno em seus atendimentos, cabendo ao enfermeiro atuar efetivamente no pré-natal. |
| Abstract: | This qualitative research intervention aimed to know the perceptions of primigravidae about the act of breastfeeding, to provide guidance on the benefits of breastfeeding. Participants were five pregnant women, accompanied by a Family Health Strategy from a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, from March to September, 2018. A semi-structured interview was carried out through a nursing consultation focused on breastfeeding and , after the birth of the baby, a second interview to analyze if the intervention helped the puerperae with breastfeeding. For data analysis, the content analysis method was used. The following categories emerged: expectations with breastfeeding and experiencing the act of breastfeeding. The results showed that the expectations of gestation were fulfilled when experiencing the act of breastfeeding. Fears and doubts were present, mainly because they were primigravidae. It emphasizes the popular knowledge, and the scientific knowledge through the community health agents and the resident nurse through the intervention. Therefore, it is essential that all Primary Care professionals encourage breastfeeding in their care, and nurses must act effectively in prenatal care. |
