Abstract

With the great population growth, today a lot of waste is produced that are causing great damages to the health of the population and to the environment. Most of this waste, mainly solid health waste, is disposed of incorrectly. It is these types of waste that deserve special attention because of their infectious potential. A literature review was carried out on the environmental impacts that solid health wastes can cause to the environment and to human health. This paper will deal with the correct disposal of solid health waste. It can be concluded that the solid waste management plan is very important for any health institution and to give adequate disposal to the waste is the responsibility of all and must be supervised by the State.
