Planejamento profissional e perfil socioeconômico dos acadêmicos de Medicina em uma universidade pública federal do interior Brasil

Abstract

This research aims to identify the socioeconomic profile and professional planning of medical students at UFFS - Campus Chapecó. This is a quantitative study, conducted through a questionnaire, consisting of 27 open and closed questions, applied in class to undergraduate students from the II, IV, VI and VIII phases. 122 out of 156 students enrolled, 47.54% academics and 52.45% academics, aged 23.7 years were evaluated. When considering the student origin, it was found that 76.22% come from the public high school entirely. Of the total, 43.44% revealed that the quota system influenced their stay in public school. For 82.7% there was the need for student complementation to enter the course. The approximate monthly investment for the student to study is R$ 1,490.84. Rent becomes the largest share 42.6%, followed by food 25.7%. When considering professional planning, 68.03% answered that they changed their understanding of SUS, 97.59% for the better. After graduation 95.08% consider working in the public health system, of these, 69.82% partially. Specialization is targeted by 90.16%. Relevant to the future practice of the medical profession, 65.57% stated that “working conditions” and 51.63% “stability in employment” would be important factors for their professional establishment in a given municipality. It was found that the respondents positively change their view of SUS and after graduates, admit the possibility of performing their professional activity in the public health system. The factors that weigh the most in the decision are: working conditions offered by the municipalities, accompanied by job stability and remuneration.
