Resume: | Objetivo: Avaliar a prevalência das infecções oportunistas relacionadas à mortalidade de pacientes HIV positivos, descrever o perfil sociodemográfico dos acometido, além de avaliar a qualidade das informações registradas nas declarações de óbito. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo transversal. A amostra foi constituída por todos os indivíduos em cuja declaração de óbito tenha sido indicada a Classificação Internacional de Doenças (CID) B20 a B24. Após a coleta dos dados de interesse, realizou-se a análise estatística verificando-se a prevalência das infecções oportunistas, as informações sociodemográficas e a adequação no preenchimento das declarações, a distribuição absoluta e relativa das frequências, além das medidas de tendência central das variáveis numéricas. O teste T de Qui-quadrado de Pearson foi aplicado nas variáveis categóricas, quando pertinente. Resultados: A prevalência de infecções oportunistas foi de aproximadamente 38%, havendo predomínio no sexo masculino, na faixa etária de 30-49 anos, solteiros, de raça branca, escolaridade entre 4-7 anos e trabalhadores de serviços de reparação e manutenção. Houve erro nos registros em 46% das declarações de óbito analisadas. Conclusão: a análise das declarações de óbito pode permitir a elaboração de políticas públicas de saúde frente às patologias oportunistas bem como a necessidade de qualificação das informações prestadas |
Abstract: | Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of opportunistic infections related to the mortality of HIV-positive patients, to describe the sociodemographic profile of those affected, and to evaluate the quality of the information recorded in the death certificates. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional research. The sample consisted of all individuals in whose death certificate the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) B20 to B24 was indicated. After collecting the data of interest, the statistical analysis was done, verifying the prevalence of opportunistic infections, sociodemographic information and adequacy in filling out the declarations, the absolute and relative distribution of frequencies, in addition to measures of central tendency of the variables. numeric. Pearson's chi-square t test was applied to categorical variables, when relevant. Results: The prevalence of opportunistic infections was approximately 38%, with a predominance of males, aged 30-49 years, single, white, education between 4-7 years and repair and maintenance service workers. There was an error in the records in 46% of the death certificates analyzed. Conclusion: the analysis of death certificates can allow the elaboration of public health policies in the face of opportunistic pathologies as well as the need to qualify the information provided |
