Cotidiano popular e os modos de subjetivação da mulher presentes na obra Gabriela, cravo e canela de Jorge Amado

Abstract

The romance Gabriela, cravo e canela by Brazilian writer Jorge Amado, brings in its narrative a discussion about the place that women of different classes and ethnicities occupy within our society. We see women with a life independent of the male figure, and through the quotidian presented in the work, we can observe its modes of subjectification. So, this course conclusion work aims to analyze how it is built in the romance Gabriela, cravo e canela the modes of subjectification of women and how these bodies represent the “anti-norm” of bourgeois morality. Thereby, it is proposed to present reflections and conceptualize women in the twentieth century, a period of romance in the as a way of analyzing through daily life the subjectivity of the characters Gabriela, Sinhazinha e Malvina and how they represent the “anti-norm” of current values and break them. For this, the method used is the qualitative bibliographic, having as material the literature available on the topic.
