| Resume: | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar os municípios paranaenses à luz dos conceitos de especialização e de diversificação produtiva e analisar algumas implicações destes conceitos para a dinâmica econômica das cidades do estado no período 2002-2013, utilizando como referencial teórico as ideias de externalidades marshallianas e jacobianas. Em termos metodológicos, foram escolhidos apenas os municípios paranaenses com população maior que 50 mil habitantes e determinados os índices de especialização e diversificação (absoluta e relativa) conforme o importante estudo de Duranton e Puga (2000). A partir disso foi possível identificar os municípios paranaenses mais e menos especializados e diversificados, possibilitando, então, a discussão de algumas implicações disto na dinâmica econômica das cidades a partir de variáveis selecionadas (população, produtividade e PIB per capita). |
| Abstract: | The objective of this work is to characterize the municipalities of the state of Paraná in the light of the concepts of productive specialization and diversification and to analyze some implications of these concepts for the economic dynamics of the cities in the period 2002- 2013, using as theoretical reference the ideas of marshallians and jacobians externalities. In terms of methodology, only the municipalities of the state of Paraná with a population greater than 50 thousand inhabitants were selected and the specialization and diversification indices (absolute and relative) were determined according to Duranton and Puga (2000). The discussion of some implications of this on the economic dynamics of cities from selected variables (population, productivity and GDP per capita). |
