| Resume: | Objetivo: Determinar a prevalência de anemia ferropriva em pacientes após bypass gástrico em serviço de saúde no município de Novo Hamburgo/RS durante o período de 2013 a 2018. Métodos: Estudo transversal através de análise de prontuários de 371 pacientes, maiores de 18 anos e de ambos os sexos, que realizaram bypass gástrico em Y de Roux entre 2013 e 2018 em serviço de saúde em Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul. O diagnóstico de anemia ferropriva foi considerado mediante registro de hemoglobina e ferritina presentes nos prontuários avaliados. Resultados: 76,28% (283) das pacientes eram do sexo feminino e a média de idade geral da amostra foi de 39±5 anos. A média do IMC dos participantes foi de 44,43±4,3kg/m². O percentual de pacientes que desenvolveu anemia ferropriva foi de 14,82%. Conclusão: A prevalência de anemia ferropriva encontrada foi menor que a referenciada na literatura. |
| Abstract: | Objective: To determine the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in patients after gastric bypass in a health service in the city of Novo Hamburgo/RS during the period from 2013 to 2018. Methods: Cross-sectional study using medical records of 371 patients, over 18 years of age and of both sexes, who underwent roux-in-y gastric bypass between 2013 and 2018 in a health service in Novo Hamburgo, RS. The diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia was considered by recording hemoglobin and ferritin present in the medical records evaluated, according to the Ministry of Health. Results: 76.28% (283) of the patients were female and the mean age of the sample was 39±5 years. The mean BMI of the participants was 44.43±4.3kg/m². The percentage of patients who developed iron deficiency anemia was 14.82% (55). Conclusion: The prevalence of iron deficiency anemia found was lower than that reported in the literature. |
