Abstract: | This research presents a proposal for teaching algebraic equations using the App Inventor, developing logical reasoning through algorithms and providing the assimilation of content relating theory and practice. The construction of a didactic sequence, with two activities, was based on the pillars of Computational Thinking, seeking to understand, analyze, model and solve problems. The first activity consists of an application that performs the calculation of the root of a first degree equation, presenting the platform to the student and creating preliminary notions about algorithms. The second presents the development of an application that provides theory, root calculus, video lessons and construction of graphs of equations in the second degree. During the development of activities, it is sought to highlight which pillars of Computational Thinking are most frequently explored. Furthermore, the proposal turns to the student as the protagonist in the development of activities, with the teacher having the role of mediator in the construction of knowledge, becoming a support tool in the teaching-learning process. These activities will be able to help teachers in the insertion of Computational Thinking, in the curricular component of Mathematics of Basic Education, concomitantly with objects of specific knowledge, as recommended by the Common National Curriculum Base. |
