dc.description.abstractStrategic Administration helps in decision making and crisis management, when the tools are used correctly, we can obtain more assertive and efficient decisions. The service sector has a prominent participation in the Brazilian economy, with the largest balance of jobs, representing 46.71% of the jobs in the country (CAGED, 2020), so understanding the impacts of COVID-19 in this sector becomes fundamental, where event activities are part of this sector. For its importance, the main objective is to analyze the administrative actions adopted and the public policies used by companies in the event sector in the city of Chapecó-SC to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. For this, research with case study was carried out with entrepreneurs from Chapeco in the event sector. Data were collected through the application of an online questionnaire and semi-structured interviews, which collected 19 responses to the questionnaire and 8 interviews. The public policies used, and the management level of the entrepreneurs were evaluated, and the results show that the public policies were insufficient, and the management level of the entrepreneurs was considered satisfactory. In addition to the analysis of management, this study also tried to analyze the chain of services that make up the events sector (trade of events), the economic participation of the sector, the actions and situations that could had an impact on the sector and the effects of the pandemic on the business and administrative actions adopted to overcome the challenge. Finally, we had the conclusion that the strategic management tools for scenario analysis are ideal for crisis management and that the negative impacts of the pandemic on the events sector were very significant and that the sector needs specific supportive public policies.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoA Administração estratégica auxilia na tomada de decisão e na gestão de crises, quando as ferramentas são utilizadas de forma correta, podemos obter decisões mais assertivas e eficientes. O setor de serviços possui uma participação de destaque na economia brasileira, sendo o maior saldo de empregos, representando 46,71% dos postos de trabalho existentes no país (CAGED, 2020), logo compreender os impactos da COVID-19 neste setor se torna fundamental, onde as atividades de eventos fazem parte desse setor. Diante dessa importância, tem se como objetivo principal analisar as medidas administrativas adotadas e as políticas públicas utilizadas pelas empresas do setor de eventos do município de Chapecó-SC para superar as adversidades decorrentes da crise da COVID-19. Para isso foi realizada uma pesquisa com estudo de caso com empresários chapecoenses do setor de eventos. Os dados foram coletados por meio de aplicação de questionário e entrevistas semiestruturadas, que totalizaram 19 respostas ao questionário e 8 entrevistas. As políticas públicas utilizadas e o nível de gestão dos empresários foram avaliados, e os resultados apontam que as políticas públicas foram insuficientes e o nível de gestão dos empresários considerado satisfatório. Além da análise sobre a gestão, este estudo buscou também analisar a cadeia de serviços que compõem o setor de eventos (trade de eventos), a participação econômica do setor, as medidas e situações que tiveram impacto sobre o setor e os efeitos da pandemia sobre os negócios e as medidas administrativas adotadas para superar o desafio. Por fim, temos a conclusão de que as ferramentas estratégicas para análise de cenários são ideais para gestão de crises e de que os impactos negativos da pandemia sobre o setor de eventos foram muito significativos e que o setor necessita de políticas públicas de apoio específicaspt_BR
