Abstract

Perciculture in the southern region of the country is characterized by being one of the most traditional activities among the fruit crops grown in the region. The sustainable development of the activity is directly related to research and development that help in the search for new knowledge that provide the increment and sustainability of production. In this context, the use of rootstocks is one of the developed practices that have a positive impact on the crop where the use of this enables the reduction of effects caused by soil diseases that reduce the production and lifespan of orchards, we can also highlight the precocity yield in grafted plants in addition to the influence of the rootstock variety on the productive vegetative characteristics of the crown cultivar. Therefore, the present work aims to evaluate the productive vegetative characteristics of the cultivar canopy BRS LIBRA under the edaphoclimatic conditions of Chapecó SC under the influence of five different varieties of clonal rootstocks of the genus prunus spp, namely De Guia, Capdeboscq, Barrier, Cadaman , Flordaguard during the 2019/2020 production cycle, where the trunk diameter, average number of fruits per plant, yield, equatorial fruit diameter, brix degrees, and productive efficiency were analyzed.
