Análise cientométrica sobre a disseminação e a ocorrência de Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis e implicações na conservação de espécies de anuros no Brasil

Abstract

Analysis scientometric on the dissemination and occurrence of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis and implications for the conservation of frogs species in Brazil. The decline in amphibian species is one among the great ecological concerns justified by the biodiversity conservation. One factor of concern is in the introduction of exotic species and their direct interference on the shortage of many endemic frog species, as happen in the incorporation of the giant bullfrog, Lithobathes catesbeianus, which spread over many environments because of its problematized use in frog breeding across the country. The amphibian immune system suffer interference of environmental and social stress, which makes them succetible to diseases that they were once resistent, therefore, this study had as objective the realization of an scientometric analisys over the quantitative aspects of the scientific production about the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis in frogs in Brazil and the role of the frog Lithobates catesbeianus as its disseminator. The present study consists in the analisys of the scientific productions available in the data bases: PORTAL Capes Periódicos, SciELO The Scientific Electronic Library Online and ScienceDirect, debating the aspects and results put forward by brazilian researches about the presence of the giant bullfrog, infestation and dissemination of the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis and its effects over the amphibian species conservation.
