Desempenho de milho hiperprecoce submetidos a diferentes espaçamentos entre fileiras

Abstract

The study was conducted in order to obtain a proper recommendation to the rows spacing for hyperprecoce maize hybrids in the Alto Uruguay region. The study was conducted in the Federal University of Fronteira Sul - Campus Erechim experimental field, in the agricultural season 2015/2016. The design was a randomized block design, with 5 treatments (1m; 0,75m; 0,50m; 0,25m between rows and twin rows) and four replications, where was analyzed the green matter, thousand kernels weight, kernels per ear and grain yield of the P1630H (PIONEER) hyperprecoce hybrid. The results indicated that reduced rows spacing (0,25 up to 0,50 m) are more suited to agrilculture with modern hybrids (erect leaves, fertility requirement, high investment, and others) and obtained the best results in all variables analyzed, proving the trading among farms to reduce the rows spacing.
