Análise do potencial econômico das frutas nativas e crioulas da região da Cantuquiriguaçu: um estudo de caso

Abstract

The present work consists in the presentation of facts and data that promote the conservation of native forests, mainly of fragments of forest formations of the Atlantic Forest, which are severely threatened due to anthropic actions. The objective of this work was to develop a study on the economic potential of the productive chain of native and creole fruits in the region of Cantuquiriguaçu, where there is a large number of unpopular species, but with a great perspective of markets, valuing the initiative of preservation of the species. , presenting native and creole fruits as an alternative income for these farmers. This work was developed based on the parameters presented in the methodology of Economic-ecological Analysis of Agroecosystems. The methodology consisted of collecting information collected through a questionnaire applied to families of farmers, who work with the sale of frozen fruit products, residents of cities belonging to the region of Cantuquiriguaçu, Pr. Based on the data collected in the field and the analyzes carried out, it can be concluded that the viability of native and creole fruits is supported by the low cost of production and hours of work dedicated to this activity, in addition to contributing significantly to the conservation and restoration of the fragments. forests that still persist in areas that are difficult to access and cannot be mechanized.
